Dot NAME Domains

Set up in 2001, the .NAME generic top-level domain name extension is the sole TLD planned for personal sites only. These domains can consist of personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other designations people are famous by. At first, solely third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to reserve john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Existing third-level names remained operational.

Through our firm, you can obtain your dot NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to alter the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our company if you take its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registrar firm and we will renew it once the transfer has been completed. There are no special stipulations on who can register a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the concept behind its establishment alive, the Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.

The .NAME universal top-level extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no added cost.
